Ry Rocklen’s *Desert Lenses* transforms everyday objects into unexpected portraits of life in Joshua Tree. Sculptures of chairs, cars, carts, and drying racks carry photographic images of the desert around them, blurring object and landscape. Casts of family members’ socks shift the focus inward, preserving traces of absent bodies. Together, the works explore place, family, memory, and the overlooked objects of daily life.
