Designing Motherhood: Things that Make and Break Our Births examines human reproduction through a design lens, tracing how objects and systems from the past 150 years have shaped reproductive health. The exhibition addresses infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood through more than 250 products, medical tools, speculative projects, graphic materials, artworks, and video, foregrounding questions of access, care, and lived experience. The project situates design as a force that both supports and constrains reproductive well being.
