Magenta Plains presents Desire Lines, Hana Miletić’s first U.S. solo exhibition, featuring hand-woven textile works based on street photography from New York’s Chinatown. Inspired by ad-hoc urban repairs, Miletić reinterprets them through weaving, connecting individual gestures of care to labor history and social conditions. Incorporating AI to extend and distort source images, she transforms overlooked fixes into abstracted textile forms that reflect alternative urban narratives.
