Minh Lan Tran explores unseen forces that shape our paths, working to materialize and release them. Using handmade egg tempera inspired by Byzantine icon traditions, she disrupts these methods through destruction—shredding, burning, and distressing surfaces that resemble veils. Her work navigates the tension between flesh and idea, image and spirit, engaging in a politics of utterance to reclaim expression. Tran seeks to manifest the divine, reflecting on the veil between presence and absence.
