Zoe Leonard: Display at Maxwell Graham Gallery presents photographs taken in the 1990s but only realized now. Following her Rio Grande project, this series turns to historic objects from 300 BC to 1600, reflecting on entrenched cycles of violence and domination. Echoing earlier works on museum artifacts, these images confront enduring structures of patriarchy, militarization, and brutality that persist into the present.
