DOKU! DOKU! DOKU!: samsara.exe marks Lu Yang’s first U.S. institutional solo exhibition, centering on DOKU, a virtual avatar modeled after the artist. Across large-scale video works, DOKU navigates reincarnation, void, and authorship, questioning the existence of self in a digitized cosmos. By merging Buddhist philosophy, neuroscience, and virtual mythmaking, Lu Yang proposes identity as impermanent, recursive, and endlessly dissolving.
