Fernandes merges performance, sculpture, photography, and installation to examine queer communion and cultural dissonance. In Duet, dancers interact with sculptural fabric works, obscured and revealed by curtains and cushions mimicking stone. Medium-format photography captures intimate moments shaped by tension and surveillance. Fernandes contrasts textures and light to explore embodiment, fluidity, and the ways identity moves through and is shaped by its surroundings.
