LaRissa Rogers: Dust of the Streets interlaces ceramics, painting, photography, and installation to confront inherited trauma and the labor of repair. Centered on her mother’s history as a mixed-race Korean adoptee, the work transforms the insult “dust on the streets” into a call for care, intimacy, and communal healing. Moon jars encrusted with porcelain “scars” and layered family heirlooms reframe brokenness as a site for rebuilding and shared resilience.
