Giovanni’s Room presents EEGAH, Jake Freilich’s first exhibition with the gallery, featuring a single large-scale painting from his moiré series. Using repeated halftone images of the Bronson Caves in black, green, and red, Freilich creates a person-sized moiré effect activated by viewer movement and intensified through photography. Based in Los Angeles, Freilich’s practice investigates the history of painting and its potential for visual motion.
