Elika Hedayat’s *Whispers: Women, Animals and Chimeras* retells Persian mythology from its margins. Drawing on the *Shahnameh* (Book of Kings), feminist thought, and speculative fiction, her works cast women, animals, and hybrid creatures as protagonists whose bodies merge and transform. Paintings from her ongoing *Haroum* series imagine a legendary city of learned women, exploring power, identity, and coexistence with the natural world.
