Stephen Prina: English for Foreigners (abridged: the sequel) at Petzel presents works rooted in the artist’s father’s 1917 English grammar book, tracing migration, translation, and identity. Through lithographs and musical reinterpretations, Prina transforms this artifact into a meditation on assimilation and memory. The exhibition coincides with MoMA’s survey A Lick and a Promise, highlighting his intersections of art, sound, and language.
