Melike Kara: Everything Knows brings together paintings made with oil, ink, and ground coffee — materials chosen for both tactile and metaphorical qualities. Coffee grounds, associated with divination, are inverted here: sediment marks the canvas without teleological intent, its refusal to be fully absorbed sustaining tension between control and release. The works emerge from Kara's shift away from fixed identity, allowing personal and Kurdish history to remain present without becoming definitive. Abstraction becomes epistemic refusal — a space where meaning stays fluid rather than fixed.
