Drea Cofield’s Soft Exchanges continues her long-term project Send Me Your Selfies, translating intimate, self-submitted digital images into painting. The works explore agency, desire, and perception, with sitters reclaiming authorship of the female nude. Everyday details ground the images in reality, while varied poses convey dualities—sexuality and repose, vulnerability and control—inviting reflection on power, presence, and the act of looking.
