This first UK solo exhibition spans nearly five decades of African American artist Emma Amos’s work. Fusing painting, textiles, and printmaking with African fabrics and photo-transfers, Amos addressed race, gender, and identity as inseparable from activism. A member of Spiral and the Guerrilla Girls, she forged a politically charged practice that grew from her London studies to major retrospectives, now celebrated in leading museum collections worldwide.
