Lévy Gorvy Dayan presents Self-Portraits in the Bardo, eight new canvases by Francesco Clemente. Each work places his grisaille self-portrait against radiant backdrops inspired by Tibetan Buddhist visions of the bardo—the state between death and rebirth. With deities unfolding in kaleidoscopic color, the series intertwines contemporary life with spiritual inquiry, affirming Clemente’s view of art as a path to guidance, reflection, and transcendence.
