Slow Burn is a solo exhibition of new oil paintings and plein air studies by Los Angeles-based artist Kevin Yaun, presented at Megan Mulrooney. The works depict expansive landscapes interrupted by hard-edged architectural fragments, windows, screens, and thresholds that blur the boundary between interior and exterior. The exhibition includes the Inside Outside series and works in dialogue with Maxfield Parrish's idealized, Romantic light, exploring themes of home, restlessness, and the sublime within the ordinary infrastructure of Southern California. This is Yaun's first solo exhibition with the gallery.
