Facial is Mimosa Echard’s first solo exhibition in the United States, presenting a new body of work developed through research in New York. Considering the city as both machine and surface, Echard examines femininity, surveillance, self care, and image circulation through materials that render images unstable. References range from urban observation and beauty salons to technology, non human bodies, and consumer visual culture.
