Ohan Breiding's queer still life photographs in dialogue with fragments of still life paintings from the Met's collection. Begun in 2015 as a return to the dinner table and the compositional language of Juan Sánchez Cotán, the series swaps the genre's familiar objects for their deviant others — butter becomes Crisco, basketballs are cut open and inverted — with 2026 works pushing into a more sculptural register, several commissioned by Triple Canopy. At OCHI, 605 N Western Ave. Opening reception Saturday, July 11, 6–8 pm.
