Essex Flowers presents FLATS, an exhibition of mail art and video installation by Anne Marie and Julia Rooney. Since 2010, the sisters have used the U.S. Postal Service to exchange and transform found objects, texts, and images. FLATS features plexiglass-framed compositions and a new video work documenting the postal system’s evolving role. As USPS faces privatization threats, the Rooneys highlight mail as a vital space for connection and creative exchange.
