Fleurs du mal explores moral ambiguity, beauty, decay, and duality through works inspired by Baudelaire’s poetry. Elizabeth Jaeger's installation features beetles surrounding paintings, symbolizing foreboding beauty. Barbara Wesołowska’s layered paintings reveal faces of lingering memories, while Morten Knudsen’s abstract works hide personal grief. Tommy Xie’s small paintings uncover intimate moments, and Chris Oh’s appropriation creates surreal relics. Sang Woo Kim’s works explore fractured identity and cultural duality through pigment dye transfers.
