The exhibition presents Hampton Fancher’s 1965 pen and ink sketches, each built around a stamped housefly that becomes a springboard for character studies. Across these vignettes, the insect is animated through drawn additions that parody human behavior and gesture toward cinematic sequencing. The project highlights a lesser-known facet of Fancher’s narrative work through direct engagement with drawing and storytelling.
