Friedman Benda presents Formation, Formafantasma’s first U.S. gallery exhibition, opening June 6. The collection investigates furniture’s role in the home and the idea of design archetypes. Crafted from Cherry wood and brushed aluminum, the works reflect influences from Shaker utility, Wright’s craft-tech synthesis, and Nakashima’s respect for timber. With subtle textile details and a restrained aesthetic, the exhibition invites reflection on how objects shape and reflect domestic life.
