From The Ground Up is a group exhibition that explores how artists investigate the landscape today. For these artists, the landscape is a jumping off point, framed as a place to depart from rather than a fixed view. From abstracted terrains and constructed environments to fleeting moments of light in plein air, the works engage landscape to examine perception, what we deem valuable in our surroundings, and how this relates to culture, politics, and memory.
