Gabriel Rico’s *IX Mural from the series–Reducción objetiva orquestada* is a long-term wall work at The Bass by the Mexican artist and trained architect. Starting from an algebraic equation, Rico swaps symbols for found natural and industrial objects, arranged to be “read” left to right. Its asymmetry and kitschy pairings reflect on how people relate to built and natural surroundings, and on human-centered thinking.
