Hilary Pecis: Geraniums and Camellias

Crown Point Press San Francisco · SoMa
Exhibition on view: Nov 7, 2025 - Jan 7, 2026

Color centers on two new etchings by Hilary Pecis, shown alongside a related painting and a selection of prints from the Crown Point Press inventory chosen by the artist. Focusing on still life and patterned interiors, the exhibition examines Pecis’s use of color, repetition, and surface across painting and printmaking. The works highlight the translation of her compositional approach between mediums and place her practice in dialogue with artists who similarly emphasize color and structure.

Hilary Pecis

Hilary Pecis (b.Hilary Pecis (b. 1979, Fullerton, CA) paints saturated, pattern-rich still lifes and Southern California landscapes. Coffee tables piled with books, dinner party leftovers, succulent-filled terrains. Distorted perspectives and unexpected color choices place her in dialogue with Fauvism, while her personal source imagery turns familiar scenes into celebrations of quiet everyday life.
