Mira Goodman: Glimpse of a Stranger enters the lives of unknown people through their objects — refrigerators adorned with miniature images, knick-knacks, cigarettes, shell casings, childhood toys carefully recreated in polymer clay, paper pulp, wire, and wood. Paintings swirl with fluid movement as dissonant characters inhabit incongruous surroundings, muted tones bleeding sky into ground. Teetering between realistic memory and tactile play, the works collapse distance between people and worlds, holding moments in time and making them last.
