Handle with Care features new mixed media and sculptural works by Nicolei Buendia Gupit that examine memory, displacement, and care within histories of Philippine migration and imperialism. Drawings on handmade paper center plants as witnesses to colonial archives, mixed media works embed handwoven nets as markers of hope, and cardboard assemblages reinterpret balikbayan boxes as emblems of transnational kinship and resilience.
