Hello, Goodbye presents Michelle Im’s terracotta sculptures inspired by Korean Air flight attendants, exploring identity, diaspora, and cultural duality. Drawing on her service industry experience, Im reclaims emotional labor through precise gestures and symbolic objects. Referencing traditional ceramics and Korean cultural practices, each figure embodies personal history, family legacy, and the search for belonging in spaces between departure and return.
