Herd Mentality is an evolving three-month installation by Vija Doks in Carter Burden Gallery’s On the Wall space. Each month, Doks presents a new group of animals, moving from reindeer to penguins in her second phase. Her luminous white figures emerge from dark backgrounds, highlighting the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife in a human-altered world. Through her work, Doks seeks to inspire joy, wonder, and a deeper awareness of the interconnectedness between humans and animals.
