“A Vivid Blur” centers on light’s paradoxical nature: immaterial and intangible yet powerful and effective. Though massless, light produces measurable effects. It reveals form, defines spatial relationships, and mediates our experience of time. These 12 artists engage this duality by treating light simultaneously as medium and subject. They manipulate, capture, refract, and transmit light in ways that expose the mechanisms through which perception is constructed. Expanding on the rich history and tradition of light work, the exhibition highlights the fluid and variable nature of visual experience, positioning contemporary artistic experimentation within a centuries-long dialogue between scientific discovery and aesthetic inquiry.
