Songs for Clouds is Hilary Harnischfeger’s fifth solo exhibition at Uffner & Liu, presenting new large-scale wall-based works. Drawing on geological processes and long durations of time, the works use layered paper, ceramic, pigment, and mineral materials to form stratified surfaces that suggest erosion, pressure, and accretion. Abstraction and landscape intersect through slow, accumulative construction that emphasizes material transformation and temporal depth.
