Joy Curtis: Horns, Holes, Skins, and Branches

Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery New York · Tribeca / SoHo
Exhibition on view: Apr 3, 2026 - May 9, 2026

Joy Curtis presents sculptures made from hand-dyed fabrics that can be pinned to walls, stand independently, or be worn. Featuring protruding forms and patterns created with Shibori dye techniques, the works reference organic structures such as branches, waterways, and cellular growth. Some pieces resemble tunics or trees with wearable elements. By inviting viewers to move, wear, or rearrange them, Curtis turns the body into an active component of the work.
