Household Gods: Hindu Devotional Prints examines chromolithographic images of Hindu deities produced for domestic worship. Originating in the late nineteenth century, these inexpensive prints enabled widespread home display of divine imagery and shaped religious identity during a period of social and political change. The exhibition brings together devotional prints alongside related paintings and portable shrine objects from institutional collections.
