A.I.R. Gallery presents Hunter, Healer, Warrior, Death, a multimedia exhibition by Maria RJ exploring Caribbean oral histories and their diasporic presence. Drawing from Afro-Cuban traditions, Catholic syncretism, and folktales, her works engage with Yorùbá spiritual figures linked to the forest. Through paintings, performances, and sculptures, Maria RJ creates an immersive environment where ashé, or vital energy, emerges through movement, materiality, and the layered histories embedded in each piece.
