Derek Eller Gallery presents I Am Woman Inflicted with the Burden of Bearing Mankind, a solo exhibition by Ellen Lesperance. The new paintings draw from feminist activism and ancient Amazonian mythology, examining women's struggles and empowerment. Inspired by Greenham Common Peace Camp's protest knitwear and archival research, Lesperance merges contemporary feminist symbolism with the ancient depiction of warrior women.
