David Gilbert: I Capture the Castle at Chris Sharp Gallery transforms the castle into a fragile metaphor for fantasy, power, and queer interiority. Constructed from delicate paper, his collapsing castles evoke both sanctuary and ruin, empire and desire. Juxtaposed with images of the aging male body, Gilbert’s work exposes the tension between strength and vulnerability, myth and flesh.
