In Illuminations, Claudia Hart’s fifth solo exhibition at bitforms gallery, the artist unveils a multimedia exploration of symbols and visual systems, drawing from a rich library of global decorative patterns, corporate logos, emojis, and historical iconography. Using algorithmic animation, these signs flicker rhythmically or erratically, evoking trance-like states akin to hypnotic suggestion. Hart’s miniature looping video works, set within ornate wooden frames created through a blend of craftsmanship and digital printing, span over two decades.
