Improvisational Nature: The Weavings and Drawings of Silvia Heyden at Charles Moffett marks the first New York solo exhibition for the late artist. Featuring ten tapestries and select works on paper from 1973–2014, the show highlights Heyden’s freehand weaving methods, inspired by pre-medieval techniques and natural rhythms. A trained violinist and Bauhaus student, Heyden created dynamic, curving compositions, shaped by the landscapes of Switzerland and North Carolina.
