In dios we trust, Tezcatlipoca is a series of sixteen mixed media paintings on cotton canvas and denim, mounted like amulets. Each piece represents a passage dedicated to Tezcatlipoca, the powerful Nahuatl deity of fate and existence. This series intertwines mythology, Mexican painting, and popular symbols, using the Smoking Mirror as a metaphor for crisis and transformation. By embracing duality, it questions conventional ideas of progress and envisions new possibilities within darkness.
