In Every Sense of the Bird at The Painting Center presents Louisa Waber’s paintings inspired by her Hudson River view and vast skies. She translates shifting light, zigzags, curlicues, dashes, and punctuations into lyrical visual language. Recently, scaffolding reframed her perspective, its triangular lattice offering unexpected geometry. Through these structures, Waber captures poetry in both obstruction and revelation, finding new beauty in altered sightlines.
