In Shadow and in Light brings together sculptures by Eleanor Lakelin and paintings by Aude Herlédan, alongside new works born of close collaboration. Rooted in the idea of vis vitae, or life force, Lakelin’s carved wood forms—shaped from resilient burrs—contrast with Herlédan’s layered, gestural abstractions. Through dialogue and exchange, the artists explore memory, endurance, motion, and stillness across light and shadow.
