Iria Leino: In Two Parts—The Suomen Suo and Colorfield Series opens at Harper’s Chelsea 512 this fall, presenting works from the late 1960s–70s. Long overlooked, Leino’s practice pushed post-painterly abstraction through her brushless methods of pouring and splashing paint. The Suomen Suo series, inspired by Finland’s landscapes, debuts in September, followed by her Colorfield works in October, highlighting her pivotal role in postwar abstraction.
