Carly Glovinski: Into the Garden marks the artist's return to canvas after nearly two decades, drawing on three Maine gardens — a community garden she created at the former home of writer May Sarton, Celia Thaxter's historic island garden, and her own. Acrylic paintings capture fleeting moments of tending and gathering through washy, gestural brushwork. Shaped wall works magnify pressed flowers between representation and sculpture, while the Field Folio series combines paint and cut paper into immersive, horizonless meadow compositions. Cultivation and painting become reciprocal acts.
