Irriṯitja Kuwarri Tjungu surveys five decades of contemporary Aboriginal painting from Papunya Tula Artists, the first Aboriginal-owned arts cooperative in Australia. Presenting some 120 works, the exhibition traces the movement’s origins in 1971 through its evolution into a major force in global contemporary art, highlighting acts of cultural assertion, resilience, and connection to ancestral desert landscapes.
