Tiger Strikes Asteroid New York presents Carlos Charlie Perez’s solo exhibition It's fun to pretend to be other people, curated by Dominic Terlizzi. Drawing from film, fashion, and photography, Perez creates “costume paintings” that explore identity through multi-framed compositions, found clothing, and collage. His grid installation encourages viewers to imagine new narratives, while addressing ideas of culture, class, race, and performance. This marks Perez’s first solo show in New York.
