Umber Majeed: J😊Y TECH reimagines the 1964–65 Pakistan Pavilion through speculative fiction and the artist’s Trans-Pakistan project. Drawing on South Asian digital culture and the aesthetics of Jackson Heights phone shops, Majeed uses augmented reality, video, drawings, and ceramics to question archival gaps. Her work playfully examines the blurred boundaries between official and bootleg histories, offering new ways to engage with diaspora, memory, and visual culture.
