Gladstone Gallery presents the first U.S. exhibition of Jaider Esbell, a Macuxi artist and activist pivotal in shifting Indigenous art to the forefront of Brazil’s contemporary scene. Featuring works from 2018–2021, his intricate paintings and drawings depict Macuxi cosmology, resistance, and Indigenous rights. Esbell's "artivism" merges myth, spirituality, and political urgency, leaving a global legacy showcased in major exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale and São Paulo Biennial.
