Jeannie Rhyu’s *Sixth Ocean, Eighth Sea* imagines an ocean beyond the known world through luminous oil paintings and hand-built ceramic sculptures. Sea creatures, migrating birds, celestial bodies, and ceremonial objects recur as imagined artifacts drawn from maritime history, Korean tradition, and her Canadian roots. The work explores migration, ancestral memory, and what it means to belong to more than one place.
