Jeans Generation takes inspiration from Dato Turashvili’s novel about Georgian youths who hijacked a plane while attempting to flee the Soviet Union. Drawing on the cultural mythology of American jeans, the exhibition considers daydreaming as a psychological response to political and social constraint. Fifteen artists examine imagination as adaptation, endurance, and quiet resistance, framing fantasy as evidence of collective longing rather than dysfunction.
