Kaz Watabe: Stray presents a group of new oil paintings depicting imagined figures moving through dreamlike landscapes. Watabe constructs quiet narrative scenes populated by solitary protagonists, anthropomorphic animals, and monumental forms, exploring isolation, longing, and the difficulty of connection. Recurring characters, including the Sheep-Human, function as companions and witnesses within these suspended, psychologically charged worlds.
